Conwy Half Marathon
The Conwy Half Marathon is a 13.1 mile road race held in Conwy, North Wales, organised by Run Wales. The course starts and finishes on the bridge by the quayside in front of Conwy Castle and follows roads beside the River Conwy toward Deganwy and the West Shore in Llandudno.
The route continues along Church Walks past Llandudno Pier and then climbs around the Great Orme, taking in views of the Isle of Anglesey, Puffin Island and the North Wales coastline. The Great Orme section includes undulating and steep parts, followed by about two miles of downhill returning runners to the West Shore and back to Conwy Quayside.
Race services include drink stations approximately every three miles and at the finish, toilets at the quayside plus portable units near miles four and ten, and first aid cover at the start and finish with mobile medical teams on course. Baggage is available on the quayside. All finishers receive a technical T shirt and a bespoke medal. Prizes are awarded to the first three men and first three women overall and to age category winners.
Other practical details: the event has a 2026 entry cap of 4,000. Road closures will be in place and marshals will manage crossings and access for residents and emergency vehicles. Runners are asked to follow marshal instructions and to respect local residents when disposing of litter. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
