Community Traverse Coast to Coast 300KM
The Community Traverse Coast to Coast is a multi-day ultra covering 300KM along Wainwright's established Coast to Coast route, from the Irish Sea at St Bees to the North Sea at Robin Hood's Bay. The event is a full crossing of England on foot and is presented as a multi-day endurance challenge.
The route passes through three national parks: the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales, and the North York Moors. Terrain varies and includes mountain trails, moorland, forest tracks, farmland, and road crossings. Structured checkpoints are positioned along the route, including Ennerdale, Borrowdale, Patterdale, Shap, Kirkby Stephen, Richmond, Ingleby Arncliffe, and Egton Bridge. Checkpoints will provide water and hot food with vegan and gluten free options, snacks and race nutrition, sleeping facilities, toilet facilities, and first aid support. Family and support crews are welcome at designated checkpoints as detailed in the race pack.
Safety provisions include a mandatory kit list, live tracking for all participants with a requirement to return issued trackers, and an overall event cut-off of 112 hours.
