Colne Valley Path Marathon & Half Marathon
Following the Colne Valley Path, the marathon course takes you along the trails heading through Great Yeldham and the mighty oak, whilst the half starts in Greenstead Green with both distances finishing on the Cymbeline meadows in Colchester.
This will be a self-navigation route either by gpx file on your device or written instructions. We will be including fully stocked aid stations and checkpoints at regular intervals along the route. There will be a shuttle pre race to get you to the start enabling to park at the finish. You will need to select and purchase this during registration.
Based upon the self navigation nature of the event and in an attempt to make it more affordable depending on what is important to you, we have made it possible to strip back your entry fee for the marathon, if you choose not to take a medal as part of your entry. You are of course able to have a medal if you so wish, but you must select one at registration and pay the required fee. We will not be able to issue additional medals on race day should you change your mind unless we have some remaining.
Navigation will be via gpx file or written instructions which will be available for download when finalised nearer to event day. The event will be cupless, and you will need to provide a cup for your drinks during the day. You can purchase collapsible speedcups during registration or on race day for £2.50/cup.

- Half Marathon: Start 10:30 | Briefing 10:20 | Registration 09:30 | Cut-off 4 hours

- Finish: Cymbeline meadows in Colchester
Parking and toilet facilities are available at both the start and the finish.
