Cherohala Challenge
The Smoky Mountain Wheelmen proudly present the 23rd Edition of the Cherohala Challenge on June 7, 2025. This event offers three distinctive rides:
- Cherohala Challenge Century - 115 Mile: $100, 7:00AM EDT - 5:00PM EDT
- Metric Century - 62 Mile: $100, 7:10AM EDT - 3:00PM EDT
- Charles Hall Memorial - 35 Mile: $50, 10:00AM EDT - 1:00PM EDT
The 35-mile route takes you through scenic valleys and rolling hills with only 1,900 feet of climbing. The 62-mile route boasts 8,200ft of climbing. The 115-mile route includes the infamous 318 curves of the Tail of the Dragon. All routes are fully SAG supported with well-stocked rest stops and a free post-ride meal. All riders must wear helmets. Custom Event T-shirt for all riders who preregister.

Packet pickup and late registration:
Friday, May 31st: 4-8pm at Tellico Visitor Center
Saturday, June 1st: 115-mile and 62-mile routes from 5:30-6:50am, 35-mile route from 5:30-9:45 am at the Tellico Plains Visitor Center.
