Castle 2 Castle #Ultra
The Castle 2 Castle Ultra is a long-distance running event of 32 miles that starts in the grounds of Powis Estate in Welshpool and finishes at Caffi Wylfa in the centre of Chirk. Race headquarters and the start are a short walk from several town centre car parks in Welshpool. A shuttle service is offered from Chirk to give runners the option of leaving a vehicle near the finish.The route combines flat, fast sections with undulating public footpaths and some steeper inclines, and it passes viewpoints described as offering varied scenery. The organiser plans to provide two water and food stations located at around 11 miles and 21 miles. On completion, participants receive a finishers plate and additional goodies at the finish location.
The event sets a minimum age of 20 years for participants. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers. Course map, live tracking and official results are provided for the event. Parking options in Welshpool include on-street spaces and multiple car parks near the start; coach passengers arriving from Chirk have access to a parking area a short walk from the finish. Parking
Welshpool has on-street parking and multiple car parks near to the start. For runners who travel by coach from Chirk (£10pp), parking is free and 5 minutes walk from the finish.

The Castle 2 Castle is perfect for all Ultra Runners with a distance of 32 miles. It’s also suitable for first timer’s to the ultra distance with a nice route of flat fast paths and undulating public footpaths.
Once you have completed your run you will receive your finishers plate and goodies at Cafe Wylfa.
