The 30th Annual Cancer League of Colorado Race 4 Research 5K Run/Walk is excited to be back to the full event you love Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Washington Park, Denver!
In-Person Race Details:

Start Time: 9:00 AM (ends approx. 11:00 AM)
Location: Washington Park, Denver, CO
Registration: Day-of-race in-person registration will be available at Washington Park. However, online registration in advance is preferred. Race bibs and t-shirts can be picked up on the morning of the race at the Registration desk.

Adults: $40.00 - $45.00 - $50.00 - $55.00
Children under 12: $20.00 (discount applied at checkout)
Fundraising: The Race 4 Research raises money for the Cancer League of Colorado, a volunteer-run non-profit organization dedicated to funding cancer research and clinical trials at the University of Colorado Cancer Center and supporting cancer patient organizations in Colorado. Participants are encouraged to set up fundraising pages, create or join teams, and solicit donations. There is no minimum fundraising requirement, but the goal is $100,000.
Miracle Mile: Honor individuals battling cancer with a Miracle Mile Walk Poster. Raise a minimum of $1,000 to receive a complimentary poster. These posters are displayed along the race route and at other Cancer League fundraising events. Race posters must be ordered by August 8th.
In Memory of Michele Plachy-Rubin: The race was originally organized in 1997 by friends and family of Michele Plachy-Rubin. The Cancer League of Colorado has continued the race in her memory. Since 1969, this all-volunteer charity has raised over $26 million for cancer research and services in Colorado.
