Bushwacker 5K
The 2026 Bushwacker 5K promises a tropical beach party experience while supporting vital charities. Over the years, this event has successfully raised over $100,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters and more than $200,000 for other charitable causes. The race route starts in Gulf Breeze at the National Seashore and concludes at the Pensacola Beach Boardwalk. Organizers RunPensacola.com, Running Wild, and Cap’n Fun Runners are committed to continuing the legacy of the Bushwacker 5k. Come run in Paradise!
Start Details
Race Start Time: 7:30 am SHARP!
The race begins on Gulf Breeze Parkway. There is a .9 mile warmup walk/run on the bike path from the Live Oak Village Shopping Center, located at 1143 Gulf Breeze Pkwy.
Finish Details
The race finishes in the parking lot of the Pensacola Beach Boardwalk, in front of Bamboo Willie’s.

Buses
- 6:00 AM - 7:00 AM: Buses depart from the Flag Pole at Pensacola Beach Boardwalk (near the finish) to the start line on Gulf Breeze Parkway. (Last bus departs at 7:00 AM. If you are running late, please drive directly to the Live Oak Shopping Center).
- 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM: Buses will run from the Boardwalk back to the Start line at Live Oak Village Shopping Center.
Post-Race Party
Cool down after the race at Bamboo Willie’s on the Boardwalk, located steps from the finish line. Enjoy FREE popsicles, cold towels, and a souvenir cup with your Bushwacker. Live music will be provided, and you can take a dip in the Sound.
