Brüder-Grimm-Lauf
The Brüder-Grimm-Lauf, a challenging 82 km race spanning 5 stages over three days, will take place in Bad Orb from Friday, June 12 to Sunday, June 14, 2026. This event is suitable for both recreational runners and elite athletes, traversing historic trade routes, passing historical buildings, and showcasing the scenic beauty of the Spessart region and the picturesque villages and towns of the Kinzigtal valley.
The 40th International Brüder-Grimm-Lauf is scheduled for June 12-14, 2026. Registration opens on November 11, 2025, at 0:00 AM.
Competitions Available:
- Gesamtlauf (Overall Race): Participate in all 5 stages to be included in the overall standings and compete for victory. Completing all stages earns a finisher shirt.
- Einzeletappe (Individual Stage): Choose individual stages to experience the event without committing to the full race. Up to four stages can be booked individually.
Entry Fees:
- Gesamtlauf: 85,- Euro
- Einzeletappe: 15,- Euro
- Members of the Förderverein Brüder-Grimm-Lauf receive a 5,- Euro discount.
Payment is due upon registration. Please transfer the fee to the account of the Förderverein Brüder-Grimm-Lauf (IBAN: DE 25 5075 0094 0000 0516 64, BIC: HELADEF1GEL), stating "Startgebühr und Ihren vollständigen Namen" as the purpose.
Registration:
Registration for the Brüder-Grimm-Lauf 2026 opens on November 11, 2025.
Registration Deadline:
The participant limit for the Gesamtlauf is 550. If this limit is reached, registration for the Gesamtlauf will close. The current registration status will be available from January at www.mkk.de. Individual stages can be registered up to 30 minutes (1st stage: one hour) before the start of the respective stage.
Registration Changes:
If you wish to withdraw, you can transfer your starting place to another runner. Please make the transfer independently via the link in your registration confirmation. There is no legal right to a refund or credit of the entry fee.
Timing:
Timing is done via an electronic chip in your race bib. Please do not fold the race bib and wear it clearly and visibly on your chest.
Age Categories:
The race is divided into 5-year age groups: W/M U20, W/M 20, W/M 30, W/M 35, W/M 40, W/M 45, W/M 50, W/M 55, W/M 60, W/M 65, W/M 70, W/M 75, W/M 80. Registrations for age classes W/M U18 are only possible for individual stages. The run is conducted according to the "General Athletics Regulations" and is officially recognized as a public run.
