Bridge City Glow Run
Get ready for a Saskatoon fun run – like you’ve never experienced before. The Bridge City Glow Run on Friday night June 12th will start AFTER sunset and will feature a professional FIREWORKS display in the final KM of the course. And once you cross the finish line, you will collect your swag (a high-quality pint glass) inside Gather Local Market and stay for the after-party with a DJ and $3 beer from Rebellion Brewing! The Bridge City Glow Run – presented by Rebellion Brewing – is limited to 500 people and is expected to sell-out quickly. It’s a FUN RUN, so there is no official timing. It’s all about the FUN experience – which is why the course is an easy distance of just less than 4KMs! You can run, walk, stroll – whatever you want.
Registration opens Tuesday, May 26 – with each participant receiving the following (unless they choose the Green Bib option):
- Glow Run Bib – which you will need to redeem your pint glass after the event
- Shuttle-bus ride to the start line (point-to-point course)
- Glow stick
- Fireworks show during the final KM of the course
- Pint Glass
Price: $55.99 (plus tax and fee) with net proceeds to the Saskatoon YWCA emergency shelter for women.
*There will be a green bib option for the same price (that doesn’t include the pint glass and directs more money toward the YWCA.)
We expect this fun run to sell-out quickly. There are two registration windows – while supplies last:
- Early-access to registration: IF you are registered for Step Up for Mental Health – presented by Cameco – by May 24 at 11:59 p.m.. you will receive a special registration link on May 25 via email that will give you access to Glow Run registration on May 26 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. There will be 300 spots available starting at 8 a.m. for early registration.
- Regular access to registration: everyone will be able to enter starting at Noon on May 26 for the remaining spots in the Glow Run. The registration link is at the bottom of this page in the Click Here To Register box.
Details
- Event Day: Friday, June 12
- 8 p.m. – 9 p.m. – Glow Run bib pick-up inside Gather Local Market (414, Ave B South, Saskatoon)
- 9:10 p.m. – shuttle buses leave Gather Local Market for the start line
- 9:30 p.m. – Glow Run starts (start line is Meewasin Trail under the Gordie Howe Bridge on the west-side)
- 9:50 p.m. – Fireworks show begins in the final KM of the course
- 10:00 p.m. – Fireworks show ends
- 10 p.m. – AFTER crossing the finish line on Meewasin Trail near the Sid Buckwold Bridge, collect your pint glass inside Gather Local Market (you will need your Glow Run bib to receive your pint glass)
- 10 p.m. – Midnight – post-run party hosted at Gather Local Market with DJ and $3 beer from Rebellion Brewing
*Course is point-to-point on the Meeweasin Trail on the west-side from under the Gordie Howe Bridge to just before the Sid Buckwold Bridge. You MUST take the free shuttle bus to the start line or walk into the start line from a nearby neighbourhood. There is NO parking and NO participant vehicles allowed near the start line. **Sunset on June 12 is 9:27 p.m. This section of Meewasin Trail has consistent light poles. ***We encourage fun colourful running attire or costumes! ****For safety reasons, the professional fireworks display will not happen if wind exceeds 40kmh. There are no refunds or deferrals.
