Brecon Beacons Fell Race 2026
This mountain fell race takes place in the Brecon Beacons National Park, United Kingdom, covering a distance of 34 km with an ascent of 1700 meters, visiting eight summits. The 2026 route has been updated for the WFRA Long Distance Championship, featuring the inclusion of Fan y Big and a finish relocated to Talybont on Usk village. The course is run anticlockwise and requires significant experience, navigational skills, and local knowledge.
Safety and Cut-offs
Two checkpoint cutoffs are in place for runner safety and marshal support:
- Cutoff 1: Bwlch ar y Fan (approximately 10 km, 700 m ascent) by 12:05.
- Cutoff 2: Torpantau road crossing (approximately 21.5 km, 1250 m ascent) by 14:10.
All runners must complete the race by 16:00.
Teams and Age
Male and Female teams are scored by their first three finishers. The minimum age to enter the race is 18.
Registration and Logistics
Registration is at Henderson Hall, Talybont on Usk. The race start is approximately 2.4 km from the registration venue. Parking is available at Talybont mart for £5 per car.

Entry is by pre-entry online via fabian4, with an entry fee of £17. The event is insured by WFRA.
