3rd Annual Booth Lake Memorial Swim
The Booth Lake Memorial Swim is an open water swimming event held annually in the clear waters of Booth Lake, located in the beautiful Kettle Moraine region of Southeastern Wisconsin. The lake is 204 acres and is known for its clean water and protected conditions, offering expected water temperatures between 72-76 degrees Fahrenheit.
Wetsuits and open water swim buoys are preferred and encouraged. This swim coincides with "Memorial Day" celebrations, and participants are asked to swim in memory or honor of a special person.
Registration includes a swim cap, timed results, T-shirt, finishing award, food and drink, and age group and overall awards for each distance.
Events Offered:
- 1.2 mile Swim: 1 lap, starts at 8:40 AM CDT, cut-off time 1 hour 10 minutes.
- 2.4 mile Swim: 2 laps, starts at 8:20 AM CDT, cut-off time 2 hours 20 minutes.
- 5 km (3.1 mile) Swim: 3 laps (third lap shorter), starts at 8:00 AM CDT, cut-off time 2 hours 40 minutes.
All swimmers should have open water swimming experience and be able to swim a mile under 60 minutes in a pool. Swimmers must be 18 years or older.
