Big Rivers Waterpark proudly presents the 2nd Annual Big Rivers Splash & Dash, benefiting the TANGO2 Research Foundation. Join us on Saturday, June 13th, 2026, for a day of fun, fitness, and fundraising for a rare genetic disorder.
There’s a race for everyone:
- Aquathlon (500m Swim & 5K Run)
- 10K Dash
- 5K Dash
- Kids Dash (10 & Under)
- Virtual Runs (for those that can't make it & our long-distance supporters!)
The scenic course winds through Big Rivers Waterpark and around its picturesque lake. Expect fun, energy, and excitement, with the added reward of supporting a meaningful cause.

Course Details:
- Kids Dash: 100-200m fun run around the front of the waterpark! (Parents welcome to join!)
- Aquathlon: 500m Swim around the lazy river and a 5K run around the lake and through the waterpark!
- 5K/10K: Run around the lake and through the waterpark!
- Virtual Option: Chart your own course from anywhere and still receive your race swag!
VOLUNTEER & RUN: Sign up for our “Volunteer Then Run” program! Help with packet pickup, medals, water stations, and more — then lace up for the 5K or 10K.
RACE DAY SCHEDULE:
- 6:00am: Packet-Pick-up & Sponsor/Vendor Booths Open
- 7:00am: Pre-Race Warm-Up w/ Pure Barre Kingwood
- 7:15am: Announcements, Pledge and Prayer
- 7:20am: Kids Dash Start
- 7:35am: Aquathlon/5K/10K Races Start
- 9:00am: Post Race Awards & Fun!!
- 9:30am: Course Closes
- 9:45am: Early Water Park Entry Opens
PACKET PICK UP:
- TUESDAY, June 9 - Thursday, June 11, 2026: Big Rivers Waterpark (5pm to 7pm)
- Saturday June 13, 2026 (Race Day): Big Rivers Waterpark (6:00am-7:15am)
Award Details: Aquathlon Top 3 Male and Female; 5K & 10K Male and Female Overall, Masters (40+), Grand Masters (60+); Kids Dash Male and Female Overall.
WEATHER & CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY: The event proceeds rain or shine. No refunds. In case of unsafe conditions, the event may be cancelled or altered. Participants unable to attend may switch to the virtual option.
