About the race
The Běhej lesy Železná Ruda will take place in Železná Ruda on Saturday 19 September 2026. You can run between 5 and 18 kilometers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
The event features routes through the deep forests and woods of Šumava, starting from Špičák and leading to the most famous glacial lakes. Running past Černé and Čertovo jezero is an unusual experience, along with several significant climbs and descents.
Courses
- Krátká (5 km): 173m elevation gain.
- Nova 13 km: 441m elevation gain.
- ČSOB 18 km: 584m elevation gain.
Special Sections
Conti Speed Section: A 150-meter fast section on the Nova 13 km and ČSOB 18 km routes, marked by Continental flags. Prizes include a voucher for Continental tires and a running jersey.
Generali Investments Finish: A 500m finish line stretch, marked by a FINISH banner. The fastest male and female overall across all adult routes will be crowned GENERALI INVESTMENTS FINISHER #1 and receive a Craft running jersey.
