Běh Zlatá stezka - Stožec
The Běh Zlatá stezka (Golden Path Run) is an annual cross-border long-distance race held in Stožec, Czechia. The 20th edition will take place on Saturday, August 1, 2026.

- Venue: Village of Stožec (Prachatice district), South Bohemian Region, Czechia
- Directions: By car from Vimperk via Lenora or from Prachatice via Volary, with a turn-off to Soumarský most and Stožec between Volary and Lenora. By train via Volary (from Prachatice) or Nová Pec (from České Budějovice) to Stožec station.

- Fee: 100 CZK / 5 EUR
Categories
- Men: Up to 39 years, Veterans (40-49, 50-59, 60+)
- Women: Up to 39 years, Veterans (40-49, 50-59, 60+)
- Participant numbers range from 50 to 150. Results are announced by category.
Prizes
- Financial prizes (typically 500 CZK for category winners) and material prizes based on organizer and sponsor capabilities. The top three in each category receive a T-shirt with the race logo (available for purchase by all participants for 300 CZK).
Accommodation
- Overnight stays are possible at the Municipal Office dormitory or in local guesthouses (e.g., Druid, U Mauritzů, Pstruh). Advance booking is recommended.
About the Race
The race, first held in 2004, largely follows the route of the medieval "Golden Path," historically used for transporting salt. While runners no longer carry salt and won't get rich, they gain physical fitness and enjoy the beautiful landscape.
