Běh pro Hospic sv. Alžběty 2026
Beneficial running happening on Saturday, June 13, 2026, starting at 9:30 AM at Kamenná 36, Brno.
The 9th year of the Běh pro Hospic sv. Alžběty will lead along the newly adapted Svratka embankment for the first time. The start and finish are in the Hospice of St. Elizabeth complex. Routes run on paved surfaces and forest paths in the immediate vicinity.
Race Routes
- Basic Route (6.6 km): Paved surface, Svratka river embankment. Starts from the Hospice gate, runs against the river current, then on an asphalt forest path towards Anthropos. Crosses the river via a footbridge near the Riviéra swimming pool, runs downstream, and returns to the hospice.
- Long Route (10.3 km - starts at 9:45 AM): Paved surface, Svratka river embankment, flat sections and uphill forest paths. Runs downstream, then uphill into the forest towards Čertík and Červený kopec, through Kamenná čtvrť, and back to the hospice.
- Symbolic Route (0.8 km): Paved surface, Svratka river embankment, along the hospice. Designed for children, parents with strollers, wheelchair users, or those who want to walk in support of the hospice.
About the Run: The tradition began in 2018 to support the hospice's activities. The aim is to inform those who need help the most about the support available for terminally ill patients and their loved ones. Race times are not measured, as the focus is on participation and support.
Ambassador: Daniel Orálek, a runner since age eleven, specializing in ultramarathons, with numerous track records and achievements including the Badwater Ultramarathon.
