About the race

Běh Na Českou Chalupu (hlavní Závod)
The main race is 2500 meters long with an elevation gain of 248 meters. It is challenging enough for top athletes but accessible to almost anyone.
Běh K Vodárně (dětský Závod)
For children, there is a 600-meter track with an elevation gain of about 40 meters. The start is the same as the main category, at the tram terminus. The finish line is near the old Liberec waterworks building. Every child receives a sweet reward, and the three fastest in each category will receive prizes from our partners. The main partner of the children's race is Decathlon Liberec.
Race Information
Date and Time: The race takes place on Saturday, November 1, 2025.
- 9:30 - start of children's races
- 11:00 - announcement of children's races
- 11:30 - start of women's race
- 11:50 - start of men's race
- 13:00 - announcement of the main race
Registration: Online registration is open until Friday, October 31 (8:00 PM). A limited number of on-site registrations will be available on the day of the race, no later than 30 minutes before the start of the respective category.
Entry Fee:
- Main race (online registration): 250 CZK
- Main race (on-site registration): 300 CZK
- Children's race: 50 CZK
Number Pickup: Numbers for online registrants can be picked up on race day at the race office, no later than 10 minutes before the start of the respective category.
Race Office: Located on the ground floor of the Rezidence Royal building, next to the start.
Timing: Every participant in the main and children's categories must use a chip and race number provided upon registration.
Categories: All categories can be viewed in the official propositions.
Bag Storage: Valuables can be left at the race office. Approximately 5 minutes before the start of each main race, a vehicle will transport bags to the finish line.
Announcements: The three fastest participants in each category will be announced. Children's race announcement at 11:00, main race at 13:00.
Transport to Start: Parking near the start is limited. Recommended to park in the city center (free on weekends, e.g., OC Forum) and take the tram towards Lidové sady (stop is right at the start).

Race Course: The start is at the entrance to Villa Residence Royal at the tram terminus in Lidové sady. The race follows the red tourist trail. After the first ascent, it turns off the red trail onto an asphalt path, then takes a shortcut to Strážní buk, one of the steepest parts. It rejoins the red trail and leads to the finish near the restaurant Česká chalupa.

History of the Race
The history of the Běh na Českou chalupu began on Saturday, November 6, 1971. Initially, the race was intended as a fun conclusion to the competitive season for Slovan Liberec athletes. Some participants started in pajamas.
