Bauble Bimble at Ferry Meadows
Bauble Bimble is a multi-terrain running event held at Ferry Meadows, a large country park near Peterborough. The event utilizes a 5.3 km lap that winds through forest and parkland, featuring gravel footpaths and grass areas.
Participants can choose between a 4-hour or 6-hour timed format. You can run as far as you wish within your chosen time, with the option to continue for an additional lap if you start before the cut-off time. Rest and recovery between laps are permitted.

- 5k
- 10k
- Half Marathon (standard 5 laps, changeable on the day)
- Full Marathon
- Ultra Marathon (standard 9 laps, with options to increase)
This event is suitable for beginners aiming for their first 5k, 10k, Half Marathon, Full Marathon, or Ultra Marathon, as well as experienced runners. It offers a straightforward ultra-marathon experience with minimal navigation and no mandatory kit, featuring an aid station every lap.
Event Logistics:
- Race HQ/Base Camp: Located at the start and lap point, with a water and aid station.
- Registration: Near the main toilet block.
- Parking: Chargeable at the park.
- Footwear: Road trainers are recommended, but trail shoes may be suitable depending on weather conditions.
- Hydration: This is a cupless event; participants must bring their own bottles or cups for refilling.
- Fancy Dress: Welcomed but not essential due to its proximity to Christmas.
Medals:
A bespoke event medal is provided to all finishers. An alternative finisher medal option is also available.
Virtual Entry:
Virtual spaces are available for those who wish to run for the medal without attending the event in person. These can be purchased directly from the Zig Zag Running website shop.
