Bangor City 10K & Half Marathon
This event takes place in Bangor, Gwynedd, North Wales (LL57 1NW). Both races start and finish in the city centre and follow a route that goes out to the coastline and along the Garth Pier over the Menai Straits, offering views of Anglesey, Snowdonia and the North Wales coast. The route also passes through woodland paths noted for autumn colours before returning to the city centre.

Race information notes that race headquarters and number and chip pick up are located next to the Deiniol Shopping Centre. There is no official event parking; participants should use pay and display parking in and around the town centre. Toilets and changing facilities are available near the start and finish at the Bangor bus station, and a city centre swimming pool offers showers for a charge.
Drink stations are provided at roughly every three miles and at the finish; runners who require extra fluid are advised to carry their own water. First aid is provided by a professional medical team with stations at the start and finish and on course; competitors are asked to complete medical history details on the back of their race number.
All finishers receive a technical t shirt and a bespoke medal. Prizes are awarded for male and female 1st to 3rd overall and for first in each age category. Headphones are not permitted except bone conducting types. Runners must meet time limit requirements and may be removed if they do not complete each mile in under 15 minutes. Race Day Information
Start Times: Both races at 10am
Race HQ / Enquiries: Opens at 8am next to the Deiniol Shopping Centre.
Number and chip: Pick up at race hq.
Parking: Sat Nav post code LL57 1NW. The start / finish is located next to the Deiniol Shopping Centre. There is no official parking and therefore you must use parking in and around the town centre which is pay and display.

Drink Stations: There will be a drink station at approx every 3 miles, also at the finish. If you require lots of water whilst running we would recommend you bring your own water bottle.
Toilets / Changing: Toilets are located near the start finish at the Bangor bus station. There is a swimming pool in the city centre if you wish to shower (charges apply)
First Aid: First Aid cover will be provided by a professional medical team. First Aid station will be located at the start and finish and on course. In order to help our medical team, help you it is critical you fill out the medical history information on the back of your race number. If you are injured or unwell to carry on at any stage please notify the nearest marshal who will call for First Aid assistance. It will be the discretion of the medical team if they transport you back to the finish.
Pulling Out: If you retire from the race please return your timing chip to race hq (PLEASE AVOID THE FINISHING LINE AREA). If you plan not to return to the finish, it’s really important that you let the nearest Marshal to you know and give them your race number. This is so we can account for you at the end of the race. It is your responsibility to arrange transport back to the start.
T-shirts / Medals / Prizes: There will be a Technical T-shirt and bespoke medal for all runners to collect at the finish. Presentation of prizes will be made at approx 11am (10K) & 12.00pm (Half Marathon). Prizes for Male/Female 1st, 2nd, 3rd overall and 1st in each age category.
Baggage: You may leave a small bag at the baggage area during the race, although every effort will be made to securely store your baggage, Please DO NOT leave any valuables, cash. Jewellery etc in your bag as we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage. Items not in a bag maybe refused or left at your own risk.
Merchandise: Opens at 8:00am. If you ordered a hoodie online, this can be picked up from the merchandise tent before or after the race, we will also have race day merchandise available to purchase. (Cash and card accepted) At each race we have a huge jumble sale of old stock from past races (cash only)
