Aquaman Race Details
The Aquaman is a unique endurance event combining a 1/2 mile swim and a 3 mile run. The race takes place at Howard Amon Park, located at 500 Amon Park Drive, Richland, WA.
Race Course
The event starts with a scenic 1/2 mile swim in the Columbia River, following the length of Howard Amon Park. The 3 mile run then proceeds along footpaths heading south from the park, with the finish line back within the park.
Event Schedule
- Race Day: July 31, 2026
- Packet/Timing Chip Pickup: Starts at 4:00 pm
- Mandatory Pre-Race Meeting: 5:30 pm
- Race Start: 6:00 pm
- Course Closes: 7:30 pm
Pricing and Registration
Early Bird (by July 20th): $25.00
Regular Price (after July 20th): $40.00
Registration must be completed online only. There is no race day registration. The participant limit is 300 individuals.
Important Notes:
- Team Events: Special team categories are available for athletes aged 13-18 only. Adults over 18 cannot register for these team events, which serve as fundraisers for local swimming and XC teams.
- USAT Sanctioned: As a USA Triathlon (USAT) sanctioned event, participants may need to purchase a one-day license if they are not a current USAT member.
- No Refunds: All entries are final, and no refunds will be issued. Entries are also non-transferable.
- Clothing Option: A sleeveless Aquaman t-shirt is available for an additional $18. Pre-registration by July 20th is recommended for guaranteed availability.
- Chip Timing: Timing chips will be used for split and finish times and will be distributed on race morning. Remember to return your chip at the finish line to avoid a charge.
- Awards: Awards will be given to the overall top 3 men and women, as well as the top 3 in various age groups. Awards will be available for pickup after the race and will not be mailed.
