17th Annual Upton VFW Run to Remember 5K
RUN TO REMEMBER A VETERAN!!! Our race honors all Active, Reserve, and Guard members and veterans who served our country in the past. Each participant is encouraged to wear the name of a veteran they wish to honor. If you don’t have your “own” veteran, we’ll provide you with a veteran’s name. A great way to show support!
NOTE: We encourage everyone to register before Saturday September 19th to guarantee availability of t-shirt size.
Run to Remember 5K on Saturday, October 3rd at 9:00am at Upton’s VFW Post. Early registration is $30. Don’t wait to sign up!
5K RUN TO REMEMBER
Course: 5K run is a fast start, mostly flat course, 100% roads. Walkers and joggers with strollers welcome - must start behind runners. No pets please.
Awards: Top three men and women overall. Male and female age division awards for age brackets: 12 and under; 13-15;16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79, 80+
Awards to 1,2,3rd place M/F Veteran and 1st Teacher, Firefighter & Police Officer
Amenities: T-shirts available for purchase (for those wishing an additional shirt or those that missed the deadline). Water and toilets at check-in. Water at half-way point of race. Refreshments at finish.
Times: 5K Race day registration from 7:45am to 8:30am at VFW. Race Starts at 9am Sharp! (Rain or Shine)
5K Bibs & Shirts can also be picked up on Friday 10/2 from 4-7pm
5K Day of race registration price is $35.
Kid's Fun Run
For children 10 and under, there will be a Kids Fun Run held on the baseball field behind the VFW after the official 5K race. Distance varies according to age.
Children's Run Location: Baseball field behind VFW.
Children's Run starts at: 9:45am.
Registration on-site from 8am until 9:30am.
Children's Run Cost is $7.00 and every kid gets a medal and t-shirt!
