Join Trail Run Explorers for a 12 mile guided trail run in Amersham. Suitable for both experienced runners and beginners, this scenic route takes you through picturesque woods and offers a moderate challenge. Learn about pacing, technique, and mental resilience from our experienced UK Athletics Run Leader.
Route Overview:
We will begin by running through Parsonage Woods down into the picturesque Amersham Old Town. We will then start to climb up to Hodgemoor Woods, where hopefully we get to see the beautiful bluebells if they are still in bloom. Next up is Great Beard’s Wood in Beaconsfield with its Narnia like passage and scattered trails. Finally we will drop back down into Amersham old town before climbing back up to the station where we will say our goodbyes or chat some more over coffee and cake. This is a good route for people new to trail running or transitioning from road running as although it could be very muddy and overgrown in places, the terrain is not too technical and hills are undulating.
