Alb Challenge 2026 - Obstacle Run
The Alb Challenge 2026 is an exciting obstacle run taking place on June 20, 2026, in Bad Herrenalb, Germany. This event is part of the 100th anniversary celebration of Skizunft Bad Herrenalb and promises a fun and challenging experience on the Schweizerwiese.
Participants aged 16 and above can compete individually, in pairs, or in teams of four. The course features 4 rounds of 1.6 km each, with 12 obstacles including tire pulls, bouldering, crawling tunnels, balancing acts, a water slide, and stream crossings. The 4 rounds are divided into 2 obstacle rounds and 2 pure running rounds.
Special Prizes:
- Team Award: The group, club, or company with the most finishers wins a hut evening at Hahnenfalzhütte, including a beer keg.
- Costume Prize: The best costume will also be awarded.
Start Modes and Timing:
- Individual Starter: Runs all four rounds themselves.
- Two-person Team: Each person runs one obstacle round and one running round.
- Four-person Team: Each person runs one round – the team decides the distribution.
- Teams start together, but timing is individual per runner, and individual times are summed up.
- Professional timing is done via chips in the bib number.
Participation:
- Age: 16 years and older.
- Online registration is required.
- Starting fee: €5 per person.

- Participation is at your own risk.
- The organizer is not liable for accidents, injuries, or lost items.
- Participants may get wet and dirty due to the obstacles and terrain.
Start & Finish:
- Location: Schweizerwiese, Bad Herrenalb (next to the festival tent).
- Bib number pickup: from 12:00 PM on the event day.
- The start for individual runners is at 2:00 PM. Team starts will follow. Exact start times will be available 14 days before the run on the website.
