4th Annual Empowering Children 5K

Location: Charnow Park, 300 Connecticut St, Hollywood, FL 33019
Description: A chipped-timed 5K and 1-mile run/walk event benefiting Heal the Planet. Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers in overall and age group categories. Each participant receives a race bib, event shirt, and medal.
Schedule:
- September 12, 2025, 4:00-6:30pm: Pre-race packet pickup at Runner's Depot, 2233 S. University Drive, Davie, FL 33324
- September 14, 2025:
- 6:15am - Registration and packet pickup open
- 6:30am - Vendors open
- 6:45am - Music and entertainment begin
- 7:10am - 5K fitness warmup
- 7:25am - Announcements and National Anthem
- 7:30am - Start of the Empower Children 5K
- 7:40am - Start of the Empower Children 1 Mile Run/Walk
- 8:45am - Awards Ceremony
