We are thrilled to announce our brand new 5K race, happening alongside our 20K Run on November 10th at the Susquehanna Warrior Trail in Shickshinny. This 5K race will also serve as the goal race for our WVS 5K Training Program, kicking off on September 11th.
Registration
Pre-entry fee: WVS members $20, non-members $25. Price increases 8/16/24: WVS members $25, non-members $30. WVS members will be emailed the discount code in the next newsletter. Non-members can purchase a membership in the store and receive a race discount code. Entry fee includes a t-shirt for entrants who register by end of day on October 12, 2024. Runners must pre-register online. Race day entries will not be accepted. Online registration will close Friday, November 8, 2024 at noon or earlier if race cap is reached. Entry fee is not refundable or transferable.
Race Day
Pre-entry packet pick-up will begin at 7:15 am under the pavilion at Oak & North Canal Streets. Race start is at 9:10 am. This race will be chip timed. Course: Out and back on the Susquehanna Warrior Trail. Hydration: Individual water bottles will be available at the finish.
If the race is cancelled due to any directives by the PA Governor, the hosted facility, or the WVS, 2024 pre-entries will be deferred to next year. No refunds will be given. This race is open to anyone. You do not need to be a WVS member to run. Non-members can purchase a membership in the store and receive a race discount code. The race directors reserve the right to accept or reject any entry.
