Wooly Bully Races 5k/10k
The annual Wooly Bully races are the main source of support and funding for the Neilson Store Museum. We are happy to help promote this event and appreciate the support of all the volunteers and participants.

Sunday, August 16, 2026, from 9:20 am to 11:00 am
Location
The races have moved to a new site, located on the South Shore Road, west of the Stella 40 Foot Road, at the residence of Reta Brown. The site is very suitable to host the event, including parking. The race site is now closer to Stella, approximately 4 kilometres from the ferry dock.
Please note that the ferry over to Amherst Island runs on the half hour from the Millhaven dock on Highway 33, just east of Bath, Ontario. The 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. ferries will get you to the race in plenty of time. The 9:30 a.m. ferry will not get participants to the race in time. The ferry leaves from the Stella dock on the hour.
Race Details
Every kilometre in both the 5K and 10K will be marked. There will be 2 water stations. 10K runners can access fluids 4 times, 5K runners twice. Post race refreshments will be served to all runners, and several draw prizes will be given out after the race.

10K: 1st 3 male and female overall and top 3 in the following categories: 19 & under; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+
5K: 1st 3 male and female overall and first place in the following categories: 14 & under; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+
Registration and Fees
Fees match 2025 rates: 5K and 10K KRRA members $45, non-members $50. The 1K fun run for children 5 to 12 years is $10.
The deadline to order a race t-shirt with registration is July 30. Online registration opens March 17 and closes late Friday, August 14. In-person registration and race kit pickup are available before race day at Runner’s Choice, 56 Brock Street, Kingston.
The Wooly Bully is an Athletics Ontario sanctioned race and supports the Neilson Store Museum.
