Winwick Hall Trail Races
Winwick Hall Trail Races are a set of fully marked and marshaled trail events held at Winwick Hall, Winwick, Northants NN6 7PD. The event includes multiple distances and takes place on trails around the Winwick Hall Estate.
Routes run across a mixture of terrain including grassland, country paths and hard-packed trails. Both the 5k and 10k courses include uphill sections and descents and are marked with arrow signs. The 10k route has a staffed water station at the halfway point; water is also available at the finish. Professional first aid is provided at the start and finish with access to the course, and volunteers are on course to support runners.
Races are held in aid of the Bruce Green Foundation, with a proportion of entry fees donated to the charity. Entry minimum ages are sixteen years for the 10k, twelve years for the 5k and four years for the 2k. Adults may accompany children in the 2k event. Running with dogs is not permitted because routes use footpaths across farmland. Entries and transfer of entries close seven days before the event.
Practical notes: trail shoes are advisable when the ground is wet; road shoes are acceptable on dry ground. Races are cupless so participants should bring their own cup or water bottle. All finishers receive a specially commissioned race medal.

The Bruce Green Foundation
‘Providing a safe and secure foundation from which young people can flourish in education, at home and in the community by providing inclusive access to cultural and inspirational experiences.’
This event is run in aid of the Bruce Green Foundation, and a proportion of all entry fees go direct to the charity. Founded in 2018, the foundation works with young people, under 21, in the county of Northamptonshire, individuals who face social inequalities as a result of poor access to education, healthcare and mental health support. The foundation acts a catalyst for confidence, enabling young people to make changes for the betterment of their lives (academically, socially and emotionally). This is achieved through the provision of long-term interventions, the external delivery of collective entertainment, and by supporting partner organisations who share our mission.
