West Yorkshire Winter League (WYWL) 2026-27
The West Yorkshire Winter League is a team and individual trail series held across six races from November to January. A £20 season pass grants entry to all six races; entries close on 25 October 2026. Races are organised by member clubs around West Yorkshire and are run on hilly trail courses.

The league is limited to fully paid-up members of one of the 17 member clubs, aged 17 and over. Competitors must be affiliated to England Athletics or British Triathlon. Individual awards cover top male and female finishers and top places in Open, 35, 40 and subsequent five-year age categories; a competitor cannot win two awards and top three male or female placement takes priority. Team awards include male, female, vets (35+), super vets (50+) and overall team classifications.
Additional Notes:
- Chip timing was introduced in 2024/25.
- A complimentary buff is provided to participants who start at least four races.
- Dogs are not allowed.
- Courses are not suitable for blind runners.
- Headphones follow England Athletics guidance.
- Facilities are limited, with toilets available but no water, distance markers, changing rooms, showers or baggage storage.
- No refunds, deferrals or transfers are offered.
- Competitors enter at their own risk and organisers decline liability for injury or loss.
