Victoria – Royal Roads
We’re back at Royal Roads University in Victoria, BC, with the best way to open the season. Fast, flowy and beautiful single track that is sure to impress even the seasoned trail runners. New to trail running? You’ll love this race as it’s great for all abilities! See you at the finish line for some post-race food and draw prizes!
We acknowledge that this event takes place on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Esquimalt and Songhees First Nations. Let’s run with gratitude and with a commitment to respect and care for the lands we are privileged to explore.
Distances and Features:
- Long Course: 11 km, ~300m Vertical Gain, 1 Aid Station at 7.5km
- Short Course: 6 km, ~100m Vertical Gain, no aid stations
- Kids Race: ~1 km
The event operates a cupless policy; participants must bring their own drinking container or may purchase a cup on site. Registration fees for the kids race are directed to the South Vancouver Island Nature Trails Society. Post-race food is provided and prize draws are held.
Logistics:
Location: Royal Roads University, 7a University Drive, Victoria, BC. The event is staged at the grassy field when you enter the campus.
Parking: Ample parking in the adjacent dirt track. Pay parking is in effect. Volunteers will assist on site.
Bib Pick-up: Requires a government-issued photo ID. Pick up times are staggered:
- Long Course participants: 9:00am – 10:00am.
- Short Course participants: 9:45am – 10:30am.
- Kids Race: 9:00am – 10:00am.
