Vertical Tovel - Tuenno, Italy
The Vertical Tovel is a unique and challenging race that takes place in Tuenno on Saturday, August 1, 2026. This event offers a concentrated dose of nature, passing through one of the wildest areas of the Brenta region, known as a natural habitat for bears.
The course begins at Glare (970 mslm) and finishes at Busa de l'Om (2075 mslm). Participants will ascend through pioneering forests, lush spruce woods, and rich high-altitude pastures, culminating at a spectacular terrace with views of dramatic cliffs and the nesting grounds of eagles.
The breathtaking beauty of the landscape is further enhanced by the reflection of Lake Tovel, making it a spectacle for both athletes and spectators. The event includes a race, lunch, and awards ceremony.
Program:
- 07:00 - 09:00: Bib collection and last-minute registrations at Folk 23•08 Coffee & Drink (Piazza Alpini, Tuenno). Bag drop-off for transport to the lunch area.
- 09:30: Race start from Località Glare, Val di Tovel.
- 10:15: Estimated arrival of the first competitor.
- 12:00: Lunch at Malga Tuena and start of the awards ceremony.
Race Details:
The race is open to athletes aged 16 and over with a valid medical certificate.
Registration Fee: €30. Maximum 150 participants.
The event takes place in the municipality of Ville d’Anaunia (TN), Val di Non, in the hamlet of Tuenno.
