Uniformed Services Run
The Uniformed Services Run is part of the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Marathon Weekend. Organizers list multiple race distances and family events on a new course for 2026. The new route is described as safer, easier to set up and manage, with lower elevation gain, a 50% increase of distance in the park, and improved opportunities for supporters to follow runners.
Proceeds from the USR are donated to the charity named by the previous year's Battle of the Badges winner. In 2024 the Canadian Coast Guard earned the right to name the 2026 charity. For 2025 the chosen beneficiary was The Islaview Foundation and the amount raised was $15,878.21.
Published 2026 details include registration opening and closing dates, a shirt in kit deadline, and event fees. Discounts are noted for uniformed service members. The event is hosted by Athletics NorthEAST Running Club and is NLAA accredited, with course certifications listed as in progress. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
