We are TYDISH Running, a female-owned company focused on a grassroots feel, prioritizing athletes, accomplishments, nature, and community. Our goal is to support athletes and make a difference.
Event Details
The Twisted Roots event takes place at High Cliff State Park in Sherwood, WI, during the fall. It features a half marathon and a full marathon trail running event. Athletes will experience views of Lake Winnebago, traverse technical single tracks, and enjoy wide rolling prairie sections. The course also includes views of the majestic cliffs of the Niagara Escarpment and historical Lime Kiln Ruins.
Important Notes:
- Some trail sections are shared with mountain bikers and horse riders. Please yield accordingly and practice proper trail etiquette.
- Cutoff times: 8 hours for the Full Marathon, 5 hours for the Half Marathon.
- This is a CUPLESS EVENT. Athletes must provide their own hydration carriers and reusable cups. Volunteers will assist with refills.
- No alcohol will be served.
- No disposable single-use cups will be available.
- NO COWBELLS are allowed by crew, staff, or spectators.
Offerings
The event base will be at the Gathering Space in the upper lot, with ample parking. There will be two aid stations: one at the Gathering Space and another along the route. A pasta buffet will be offered post-event.
Support Local
During registration, you can donate to the Friends of High Cliff State Park, a non-profit volunteer organization that helps maintain the park's beauty and educational events. A portion of the event's profits will also be donated to this organization.
