About the Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk
The Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers. Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty! This is a 5K (3.1 miles). You are welcome to walk or run this event.
Registration and Pricing
Registration is tied to a price tiering system where the price increases occur one week after the opening of registration, one month before the event, and on race day. To guarantee you receive a 2026 event T-shirt, you must register by July 27th.
Event Details
- T-Shirt: Your registration fee includes a T2T Lincoln event T-shirt, but t-shirts are not guaranteed for participants that register on race day.
- Age Limit: There is no age limit. All are welcome!
- Parking: Ample parking is available at Mahoney Park at the parking lots along Elton Lux Memorial Drive.
- Packet Pickup: Friday 8/14/2026: Time and location TBD. Saturday 8/15/2026 - At Mahoney Park starting at 7:00 AM. Someone else can pick up your packet with a copy of your registration receipt.
- Bib Number: Must be displayed on the front of your outermost garment.
- Timing: We are looking into timing the event this year.
- Hydration: A water station will be available along the route, and at the start/finish.
- Food: Local food trucks and vendors will be on-site.
- Allowed Items: Stroller, wheelchair, and/or backpack are permitted.
- Prohibited Items: Roller blades, bicycles, or pets.
- What to Wear: Comfortable clothes and shoes. Patriotic colors and flags are encouraged. Military and first responders are encouraged to wear gear/uniforms.

Refunds: ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Registrations may be transferred to another participant by emailing the organizers.
