Tulsa Triathlon 2026
Tulsa Area Triathletes is excited to host the Tulsa Triathlon at Twin Cove Point on Birch Lake in Barnsdall, OK. This scenic location provides a beautiful setting for swimming, cycling, and running.
ALL RACES ARE ON SUNDAY!!
Races Offered:
- Individual Sprint Triathlon
- Relay Team Sprint Triathlon (per person fee)
- Individual Olympic Triathlon
- Relay Team Olympic Triathlon (per person fee)
- Aquabike Short (Olympic distance)
- Swim Only - 500 meters
- Swim Only - 1500 meters
This event is designed for both beginners and experienced athletes. Test your limits with the Sprint Triathlon or challenge yourself with the Olympic distance. New this year, we are offering a Swim Only option for water enthusiasts, and you can also form a Relay Team with 2-3 people to share the fun and focus on your favorite discipline.
Safety Swim Wave
A Safety Swim Wave will be available for the Sprint Tri. Participants who feel uncomfortable with the swim portion can opt into this wave, starting at the back. Please note that participants in the Safety Swim Wave will be excluded from Age Group Awards.
About Tulsa Area Triathletes (TAT)
Tulsa Area Triathletes is a local non-profit club dedicated to promoting and organizing fair and safe competitive multi-sport events and training opportunities for all ages and abilities. Join TAT to connect with like-minded friends and enhance your training.
TAT has partnered with RunnersWorld Racing, a local race producer and running store, to manage these multi-sport races. Support local initiatives and participate in local events.
Important Information:
- No Refunds: There are no refunds for this event due to weather, cancellation, or postponement.
- Deferral: Registrations can be deferred for one year with a $15 fee, but must be submitted by 9/10/2026.
- USAT Wetsuit Rules: Wetsuits are permitted if water temperature is 78°F or lower. Between 78.1°F and 83.9°F, wetsuits may be worn but will not be eligible for awards or ranking points. Wetsuits are prohibited if the water temperature is 84°F or higher.
Packet Pickup:
Location: RunnersWorld Tulsa, 3920 S Peoria, Tulsa, OK 74105
- Friday, September 18th: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Saturday, September 19th: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Required: Photo ID for packet pickup. Only the registered racer can pick up their packet. All relay team members must pick up their own packet.
Race Day Pickup: Available for participants living more than 30 miles outside Tulsa. Please email [email protected] if you require race morning pickup. Pickup is at transition starting at 7:00 AM. Photo ID is required.
Race Schedule:
Race Day: Sunday, September 20th
- 7:00 AM: Transition opens
- 8:00 AM: Transition closes
- 8:05 AM: Pre-Race Meeting (Swim beach area)
- 8:10 AM: Sprint Race Begins
- 8:16 AM: Olympic Race Begins
- 12:00 PM: Bike Cutoff (Must be off bike and on run course)
