Trossachs Trundle 2026
The Trossachs Trundle is a 22.4-mile Challenge Event intended for walkers and runners on a circular route from Callander, circumnavigating Loch Venachar in the scenic Trossachs with 3350ft (1020m) ascent.
The route starts and finishes at the HQ at Kirk Hall, Callander. Participants will walk and run through Callander, up to Bracklinn Falls, over Callander Crags with views towards Ben Vorlich and Stuc a' Chroin, and Loch Venachar and Ben Ledi. The route continues along the Rob Roy Way to Bochastle checkpoint (7.6 miles), then along the Great Trossachs Path to Brig o'Turk checkpoint (13.7 miles). After crossing Black Water and passing Achray Farm, participants return along the south shore of Loch Venachar to the HQ, with a checkpoint at 19.1 miles, finishing through Coilhallan Wood.
The route is mainly on good tracks, paths, and private roads. The event has a minimum age of 16.
Start Times: 9:00 AM (registration from 8:00 AM). Faster walkers and runners may start at 10:30 AM.
Checkpoint Cut-offs: Brig o'Turk checkpoint by 3:15 PM. Finish by 7:00 PM.
