Transcivetta 2026
The Transcivetta, a classic mountain running race for pairs, is returning on July 19, 2026, at the foot of Civetta in Alleghe. This event is an experience of shared effort, UNESCO panoramas, and legendary trails between Listolade and Alleghe.
The Challenge for Pairs Under the Civetta Wall
This is a classic mountain running race for pairs in the heart of the Dolomites. It's an event that combines performance and team spirit, as you don't run alone: you manage, you push, you arrive together, two people, one rhythm. With Civetta in front, Transcivetta 2026 brings back the pairs challenge to the trails, transforming effort into a shared experience.
What is Transcivetta and what makes it unique?
Transcivetta is more than just a trail running race: it's a two-person experience built on collaboration. You start and proceed as a pair along a route that has earned a special place among the most appreciated mountain events. It features flowing sections alternating with more technical parts, variable terrain, ascents that require management, and descents that demand attention. Above all, the constant presence of the Dolomites, which puts everything in perspective and makes the journey unforgettable.
The event always includes a non-competitive formula alongside the timed race, allowing both those aiming for results and those who want to experience the traverse with a more exploratory spirit to share the same atmosphere with the same intensity but with different goals.
The Course: Data, Pace, and Key Points
The Transcivetta follows its most well-known route from Listolade (Taibon Agordino) to Piani di Pezzè (Alleghe): a traverse of approximately 23–23.5 km with a positive elevation gain of around +1,950 m. It's a course that alternates runnable sections with more challenging parts, where the mountain dictates the rules and management makes the difference.
Along the race line, you'll encounter landmarks that every trailer immediately associates with Civetta: Capanna Trieste, Rifugio Vazzoler, Rifugio Tissi (the highest point of the course), and the Col dei Baldi/Coldai area, before the descent that leads to the finish line at altitude. As a pair, everything changes: you calibrate your effort, wait for each other on technical sections, and push together when the trail allows. And at Piani di Pezzè, beyond the finish line, the panorama remains in your eyes.
Limited Places and Pairs Formula
The Transcivetta is a highly requested event partly because access is limited: over the years, the limit has been set around 800 pairs. If you want to participate in 2026, the advice is practical: follow the official announcement of registration opening and act quickly, as available spots tend to sell out rapidly.

Transcivetta Kids
The race for the little ones, because Transcivetta becomes Transcivetta Kids. The course will be simpler, 2.5 km in a circuit with moderate elevation gain along the meadows of Piani di Pezzè (Alleghe). The young athletes will run in the afternoon, after the adults have finished, and will receive their applause. They, too, will experience the joy of running.
"The important thing is not what you find at the end of the race, but what you experience while running." - J. Owens
