The inaugural Tour de Lincoln was held in May 2002, sponsored by the Lincoln Volunteer Center. The event has grown to over 600 cyclists participating, offering a day of riding the scenic back roads of Lincoln and South Placer County. The ride includes a continental breakfast, well-stocked rest stops, SAG and mechanical support, and a post-ride BBQ lunch. The 22nd annual event will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, offering four courses: 10k, Metric Quarter Century, Metric Half Century, and Metric Century. Helmets are required for all riders, and riders must obey all traffic laws. Non-rider activities include shopping in Historic Downtown Lincoln, local beer and wine tasting, and more.
