Tilston 10K
Tilston 10k is a rural road race held around Tilston Playing Field. The main distance is a 10 km route on quiet country lanes with full road closures, a fully signed and marshalled course, chip timing and first aid provision. Event registration and the finish are at the playing field, which has toilet facilities, a field and children's play equipment. The event has a limit of 300 runners and no cut-off times. All proceeds support the Tilston Playing Field Association.
Trophies are awarded for overall and category winners, including age groups and local residents. Medals and refreshments are provided at the finish. Sponsors include Club Control and Whitchurch Sports Equipment, with trophies and children's trophies supported by local sponsors.
Children's Races
Children's races take place on fully closed roads before the adult race. These are entry on the day only and all participants receive a medal and a treat. Distances for children's races are:
- School year 3 and under: 1.2 km
- School year 6 and under: 2.8 km
- School year 9 and under: 3.1 km
Entry fees vary by date and age group, with a reduced rate for 15 to 19 year olds. Race records were reset in 2025 after a slight alteration of the start line. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
