Race Info
Welcome to the Tidewater Striders Marathon and Half Marathon, known for being one of the flattest and fastest marathons in the country and the fastest in Virginia!
The full Marathon course is USATF Certified and a Boston Qualifying race.
Packet Pickup
Early Packet pickup: Friday, April 24th from 3-6pm at Point 2 running company in Chesapeake.
Race day pick-up: 6:15 - 7:30 am.
Fluids and Food
9 water stations for the full marathon and 4 for the half marathon.
Amenities & Post-Race
Finishers receive a Medal and Premium Long Sleeve Shirt. Onsite hospitality & refreshments, and a post-race party.
Time Limits
Full Marathon starts at 7:00 AM EDT, Half Marathon starts at 7:30 AM EDT. The finish line closes at 1:30 PM EDT. Walkers may arrange an early start or self-time after 1:30 PM.
Awards
Awards for top 3 overall Males and Females, top 3 overall Masters Male & Female, and top 3 males and females in 10-year age groups.
Registration
Registration open until April 24th, 2026. Discounts available for Legacy Runners/Striders Plus and Club Members.
Elite Field & Prize Money
Elite Entry available for those meeting specific time standards. Prize Money for top finishers in Marathon and Half Marathon.
Challenges
Strider Spring Running Festival Challenge: Run the Dismal Swamp 5 Miler on Saturday and the Half or Full on Sunday for a challenge medal.
