The Zombie Shuffle

The Zombie Shuffle is a Halloween series event held at Pengethley Manor, Ross-on-Wye on 25th October 2026. Entrants choose one of several distances and must complete their chosen target within a seven hour time limit.

The course is offroad and runs entirely within the grounds of Pengethley Manor. Each lap measures 2.5k and includes a short hill plus a series of ups and downs that pass through two vineyards. The organisers describe the route as very tough. The event is open to walkers and runners; entrants must be aged 18 or over and are responsible for their own preparation and safety.

Entries can be made as on-site race entries or as virtual entries completed anywhere in the world. Paid virtual entries receive the same type of medal as race finishers, subject to availability and any additional postage costs for overseas delivery. A free virtual option records a result without a medal through the event Strava club. Race bibs are collected at registration; virtual bibs are emailed after entry.

All entry fees are non refundable. A deferral option to the following year is available for a fee if requested up to four weeks before the event. A charity entry option is offered for a reduced fee subject to fundraising conditions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Event Information

Race start is at 10:00. You have 7 hours to complete your chosen run distance. Each Lap is 2.5k in distance. Suitable for walkers and runners. The course is offroad, all within the grounds of Pengethley Manor, and very tough. There is a bit of a hill, which will be run on each lap, and a series of up and downs through two vineyards.

The Halloween Bibs:

You will collect your race bib on the day of the race at registration. Virtual Bibs: Once you have entered the event, we will email you a personalised virtual Bib as a keepsake. It may take a day or two to receive the virtual Bib, but it should be with you before the event date starts.

Entry Fee Options

Virtual Run Entry Fees: For international posting you will need to pay an additional postage cost which we will advise prior to posting, depending on your destination. Run the virtual event for FREE - you won't receive a medal but you will be recorded on the results list. Simply join our Strava group (Every Mile Counts) for FREE and enter The Zombie Shuffle Event.

CHARITY OPTION

You can enter any combination of days for a total £10.00 entry fee plus booking charges, which will confirm your entry either as a race competitor or as a virtual runner. But this is on the basis that you commit to raising a minimum of twice the entry fee value for our nominated charity to make your entry valid. In addition the money needs to be raised at least four weeks before the event date. If you choose the charity option, enter through our entry system as normal, but only select the charity option for £10.00. We will then be in touch with you to advise the next steps in order to get you raising the necessary sponsorships.
