Event Information
Once you enter, you will receive a confirmation email. Leading up to the race you will receive an event guide via email, which will include everything you need to know about the day. Race bibs are collected at registration on the morning of the event.
If you are between the ages of 12 - 15 then your parent or guardian must contact us in order to organise your place and your parent or guardian must attend the event with you. We do not allow under 12's to participate in any of our current events. Please read further in our Runners Agreement. We have a Facebook group for all participants that you will have access to where you can ask questions about the event and also meet the community of people taking part. We also have a Strava group we would love for you to join.
How it Works
There is one starting line where everyone will begin from, this same line then becomes the looping line that provides lap times each time you go around. When you're ready to finish, you cross the same line and let one of our team know that you're finished. The results will show the number of laps completed, total distance and time elapsed.
There is a time limit of 8 hours and during that time, your challenge is to run as many 5km loops as you can. Any laps not finished by the cut-off time are not included in your results.
While we do not consider our events to be competitive, we do have a results leaderboard and course records.
On The Day
Event registration opens at 07:00am, where you will collect your race number and chip timing ankle strap.
There will be an event briefing at 08.45am, highlighting the key information for the day.
The event will start at 09:00am.
The cut-off time of 17:00 is strict, meaning any laps not completed before the cut-off time are not included in your final results.
Location & Route
The route is 5 kilometres across a range of terrain including woodland trail, gravel paths and park road with approx. 88m of elevation. With mixed terrain including gravel and trail sections, we would recommend wearing trail shoes. The route is not on a closed course, so please consider that there may be walkers or dog walkers in the area. The address of the location is Temple Newsam Park, Leeds, LS15 0AD. You can view the route/GPX here.
Aid Station & Facilities
Surrounding the start/finish line will be the aid station. There will be a bag drop that you can access at any time of the day and if you would like to bring your own food and drink, you are welcome to leave it with us at the aid station. The start/finish line will act as the singular aid station and spectator area. This is where spectators can gather and participant's crew can set up individual aid stations if preferred. Our aid station will provide water, fruit, sweet & savoury snacks and energy bars and electrolytes from our event sponsor VOOM.
With sustainability in mind, we are operating on a bring your own bottle basis. We will have plenty of water for you to fill up your bottles, but we will not be providing cups at the aid station.
There will be portaloos available throughout the event, situated at the aid station.
