The Ultra Loop at Delamere Forest
The Ultra Loop is an 8-hour looped ultramarathon held at Delamere Forest in Frodsham, WA6 6NB. Participants run as many laps as they can on an approximately 6 km loop of mixed terrain, combining gravel paths and light trails through woodland. The route includes a climb to Old Pale Viewpoint and a section around Blackmere Lake before returning to the start and finish area. The course is not closed to the public so walkers and dog walkers may be encountered.
Timing is lap based from a single start and finish line. Results record number of laps completed, total distance and elapsed time. Any laps not completed before the cut off time are not included in final results. All finishers receive a finishing time and a medal. The event maintains a results leaderboard and course records.
Facilities are centred at the start and finish. A single aid station provides water, fruit, sweet and savoury snacks, energy bars and electrolytes supplied by VOOM. There is a bag drop available throughout the day and portaloos on site. Organisers operate on a bring your own bottle basis with water available to refill bottles but no disposable cups provided. Race numbers are collected at registration on the morning of the event.
Participants under 12 are not permitted. Those aged 12 to 15 require prior contact from a parent or guardian and must be accompanied by that parent or guardian at the event. Community channels include a Facebook group and a Strava club for participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Aid Station & Facilities
Surrounding the start/finish line will be the aid station. There will be a bag drop that you can access at any time of the day and if you would like to bring your own food and drink, you are welcome to leave it with us at the aid station. The start/finish line will act as the singular aid station and spectator area. This is where spectators can gather and participant's crew can set up individual aid stations if preferred. Our aid station will provide water, fruit, sweet & savoury snacks and energy bars and electrolytes from our event sponsor VOOM. With sustainability in mind, we are operating on a bring your own bottle basis. We will have plenty of water for you to fill up your bottles, but we will not be providing cups at the aid station.
