The Shield of Kindness 5K & Fun Run
Join us for the Shield of Kindness 5K & Kids Fun Run and Community Swim! Every step helps support anti-bullying awareness and promotes a culture of kindness, courage, and respect for children and families throughout our community. Protecting Hearts. Promoting Kindness.

Entry Fees & Courses
- 1-mile Fun Run/Walk: $10 (T-shirt included)
- 5K Run: $25 (T-shirt and 1 arm band to swim included)
- Sleep in supporter: $20 (includes a T-shirt and sponsors a Fun Runner for the swim)
Start Times
- 7:40 a.m.: 1-mile Fun Run/Walk
- 8:00 a.m.: 5K Run begins
- 8:00 a.m.: Shield of Kindness community swim at Town South Swim Club
T-Shirts & Packet Pick-Up
Participants registering prior to Monday, August 10th will receive a specially designed performance T-Shirt. Packet pick-up will be at Sportspectrum, 6970 Fern Avenue, Shreveport:
- Thursday, August 20th: 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM
- Friday, August 21st: 10:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Race Day packets will also be available at the race site starting at 7:00 AM.
Sleep-In Supporter: Support the cause from afar! Receive a T-Shirt without attending the race. Follow the same packet pick-up instructions.
Awards
5K Awards: Overall male and female winners. 1st place male & female in each age group category (10 & under, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+).
Kids Run: Prize for the 1st, 2nd & 3rd overall boy and girl.
