The Scary Scamper
The Scary Scamper is part of our Halloween Series of races. For 2026, you have 7 hours to complete your target distance.
Choose Your Distance and Time Limit
- You choose your target distance – 5k (2 laps of a 2.5 km circuit), 10k, Half Marathon, Marathon, or Ultra.
- Your time limit for completion is 7 hours.
- Suitable for walkers and runners.
Course Details
The course is tough and off-road, located within the grounds of Pengethley Manor. Each lap measures 2.5 km and includes a hill section. The terrain is described as very tough with a series of ups and downs through two vineyards.
Virtual Option
There is a virtual option that can be completed anywhere in the world. Paid virtual entries receive the same type of medal as race finishers. Free virtual participation is recorded on the results list but does not include a medal. Virtual medals are posted after run verification, and additional postage costs apply for international delivery.
Entry Fees and Options
- Race Entry: £29.00
- Virtual UK Entry: £25.00
- Virtual Overseas Entry: £39.00
- Charity Option: £10.00 entry fee plus booking charges, with a commitment to raising a minimum of twice the entry fee value for a nominated charity. Money must be raised at least four weeks before the event date.
Entry fees are non-refundable. A deferral option is offered for a set fee up to four weeks before the event. Visit the organizer's website for the most recent information.
