The Medal Madness – Winter 2026
Join us for our end of season event to help us find a home for any leftover medals that we have!
We hate having waste, especially when it comes to medals. We try in the first instance to not order more than we need, but despite accounting for everything we still have no shows on event days which means they cannot earn their medal. So, to try and find homes for these leftover medals we are holding a medal madness event to end out the year at Shipley Country Park.
The entry fee will be smaller as we do not have to order medals for the event. The setup will be the same as our 6 hour runs and once you finish you shall receive a random medal from our collection.

- Location: Shipley County Park, Slack Lane Heanor DE75 7GX
- Time Limit: 6 hours
- Lap Distance: 5.493km
- Elevation Gain per Loop: 82 meters
Possible Distances based on laps:
- 1 Lap: 5.49km
- 4 Laps: 21.96km (Half Marathon)
- 8 Laps: 43.92km (Marathon)
- 9+ Laps: Ultra
What's Included:
- A fully unique and bespoke medal designed just for this event.
- All the food, drink, and nibbles at the aid station (leans towards enjoyable fuel like fudge, cakes, cookies, and jelly babies).
- Dedicated first aiders on site for the full 6 hours.
- Amazing support from the Rasselbock Family!
You can bring your own food and drink to the aid station; please label them clearly.
Race numbers can be picked up on the morning of the event at the aid station/start line from 8:25 am.
