The Marlow Donkey
Thames Valley LDWA offer a challenge walking and running event with new routes around the Hambleden and Stonor valleys, starting and finishing at Liston Hall in Marlow, Bucks. The event uses a figure of eight centred on Hambleden and the longest route extends to Bix.

Entry is limited to 150 participants. LDWA members have preferential entry until 1 September; entries open on 1 June and close on 20 September. Entry fees are stated as £15 for LDWA members and £20 for non-members. No entries are accepted on the day and there are no refunds; a waiting list operates once the event is full.
Thames Valley LDWA provide drinks and snacks at the start and at checkpoints, a minimal supply at Bix (CP3), and a simple meal at the finish. The organisers note that food cannot be guaranteed free from allergens. Timed e-certificates will be available after the event and a free badge is provided.
Participants must carry a specified minimum kit including a personal drinking container, plastic mug, route description, mobile phone and spare power, whistle, basic first aid, suitable footwear, waterproofs, compass and appropriate maps or electronic navigation. Clothing should suit the expected weather.
