The Loop! - South Devon
The Loop! is a 20 mile trail run or hike along coastal and inland trails in South Devon. Race headquarters and the start and finish line are at Broadsands Beach in Torbay. The route begins on the beach at Broadsands Beach, follows about six miles of inland trails to Kingswear with views over the River Dart, then continues along the South West Coast Path to the finish. The course includes approximately 4000 ft of ascent. There are three aid stations on the route that provide water, coke, squash, flapjacks, crisps, nuts, pretzels, party rings, malt loaf and additional items. The event has a nine hour cut off. The Loop is a cupless event. All participants must bring and carry a water bottle, cup or running backpack; water containers are available to top up but no cups are provided. A bespoke medal and a sweet treat are given at the finish.
