The DCRO Dash
The DCRO Dash is a fast, tough race over the hills south-west of Castleton in the Peak District of Derbyshire. It is organised as a fund-raiser for the Derbyshire Cave Rescue Organisation and is run under Fell Runners Association rules, with an FRA race category of BS.
The route passes through upland country between the moors of the Dark Peak and the valleys of the White Peak and traverses areas close to cave and mining terrain. Due to the mining terrain the course is partially flagged and marshalled; competitors are required to follow the flagged route for navigation and safety.
