Oak Ridge Park in Union County, NJ is a runner's paradise. Paved paths along manicured lawns with birch, oak, and pine trees lining the mostly flat course. On weekday afternoons you'll see them galloping across well-worn paths at a pace that is driven by the power that comes from being young. This inaugural Thanksgiving Day event offers a 5K on a certified USATF course. Additionally, a half marathon is also an option for those who want to burn off those Thanksgiving calories. Join us for The Big Turkey Half Marathon and 5K and make it happen! All participants receive a finisher medal and technical t-shirt. Awards for top finishers in each distance and age group. Race day details: Show up ready to run 30 minutes prior to the start. Start times: 8:30 AM - Half Marathon, 11:00 AM - 5K Race. Location: Oak Ridge Park. Course support includes traditional water and Gatorade stations, power gels, and trash receptacles. Amenities include a technical t-shirt, finisher medal, and plaque awards. Timing is done in real-time with video and images uploaded within 2 hours from the end of the race. Awards for top three overall and age group winners.
