Important Race Day Information
Cup-Less Event
We aim to reduce waste and operate as a cup-less event. Feed stations (every ~3 miles) provide drinks and a variety of snacks, but please bring a reusable cup or bottle.
Road Shoes are recommended
Headphone Policy
Your safety is our priority. Please do not wear over-ear headphones as they block essential sound from marshals, other runners, and road users. If headphones are required, use bone-conducting headphones, or one-in, one-out in-ear headphones. Note: There may be unmarshalled road crossings on the route.
Transfers & Deferrals
You can easily self-serve transfers or deferrals via the Grim Up North website free of charge. Avoid making changes on race day as this causes delays at registration. If we process the transfer for you, a £5 admin fee may apply.
Retiring from the Race
If you become unwell, injured, or unable to continue, inform the nearest marshal immediately.
