Swim, Bike, Run - FUN
This is the 5th edition of the EXPERIENCE TRIATHLON, offering a chance to experience triathlon without time pressure, filled with sports, fun, and challenges. Your summer sports challenge starts soon!
On Sunday, August 2, 2026, Better Tri Together vzw will host the Swim, Bike, Run - FUN event at the Lilse Bergen domain in Lille. This event is designed for everyone to enjoy a custom-tailored triathlon experience. Participate without stress, enjoy sports with friends and family. Rest and refuel in the BTT-chillzone between disciplines. You can choose your starting discipline and distance, and even start with running before swimming.
Disciplines:
- Swim: Swim in the clear waters of Lilse Bergen. Distances: 50m (micro), 380m (mini), 1000m (maxi). Waves start between 10:00 and 11:30, with 20-minute intervals.
- Bike: Cycle through the beautiful landscapes of greater Lille. Distances: 8 km (micro), 20km (mini), 40km (maxi). Respect nature and traffic rules. All bikes, including e-bikes, are welcome.
- Run: Run through the green areas of Visbeekvallei and Lilse Bergen. Distances: 1.8km (micro), 5.9km (mini), 10km (maxi). Routes are marked with arrows and a GPX file will be provided. Respect nature and traffic rules.
FUN Zone:
The 'transition zone' allows for relaxed changes between disciplines. Facilities include changing rooms and bike parking. Refuel and continue your challenge. Stay after the event to enjoy Domein Lilse Bergen. Spectators can join the BBQ for a reduced rate with pre-registration.
Practical Info:
- Program: Secretariat opens at 9:30, packet pickup from 9:30-12:30, event start from 10:00-13:00. Free starts for swimming (waves every 20 mins), cycling, and running. All-in supply zone open 10:30-16:00. Finish closes at 16:00.
- Location: Lilse Bergen is a green recreational area in Lille with a large lake, beach, and forest paths, offering a safe and natural environment. Overnight stays are possible. Dogs are not allowed in the domain but are permitted around it.
- Course: Bike routes are 100% paved, using quiet streets and bike paths. Run routes are 90% paved sand and gravel, with some forest sections. All routes are clearly marked.
